Quebec Amber Alert cancelled after 1-year-old child found safe

An Amber Alert for a child believed abducted in Centre-du-Québec has been cancelled after the child was found safe.

The Sûreté du Québec lifted the Amber Alert about 45 minutes after it was issued Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities say the child was found “safe and sound” in Saint-Hyacinthe.

Photos and other identifying information have been deleted for privacy.
