Montreal police patrol car hit with possible rocks in Ahuntsic-Cartierville

By News Staff

Montreal police (SPVM) officers were seemingly targeted Wednesday afternoon as they drove through the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville.

Their vehicle was patrolling southbound on l’Acadie, near Henri-Bourassa west, around 4:30 p.m. when they felt something hit the car, according to Montreal police.

“They felt like something was thrown at the car numerous times, then a window broke into pieces,” said an SPVM spokesperson. Not knowing what exactly was hitting the vehicle, police officers took cover.

After an initial analysis of the scene, the objects that hit the vehicle could possibly be rocks.

The SPVM does not know how the objects were thrown onto the vehicle. No one was hurt.
