A 30-year-old man who showed up Wednesday morning at a Montreal hospital with a gunshot wound is believed to be the victim of an earlier downtown shooting.
Police officers (SPVM) were unable to obtain any precise information about the case, as the alleged victim offered little cooperation. His life is not in danger.
Calls to 911 came in around 3:15 a.m. about shots fired near Sainte-Catherine west and Drummond.
Once of the scene, officers were unable to locate a victim. However, another call informed them that a man with a gunshot wound had just checked into a hospital for treatment.
A security perimeter was set up at the scene of the shooting. Investigators found a bullet casing from a firearm.
Officers who met the possible victim at the hospital say he was uncooperative.
No arrests have been so far. The investigation is ongoing.
