Work resumes on the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel
MONTREAL – Renovation work has resumed as of Monday morning on the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel, which links Montreal to the South Shore.
The work had been paused after workers discovered mould in a service corridor in the tunnel on August 1.
In a press release, the Quebec Transport Ministry indicated that workers would have to wear N95 masks in a certain sector of the corridor, pending the application of a special cleaning protocol.
