11-year-old found unconscious in Laval residential pool, expected to survive

An 11-year-old girl was found unconscious in a residential pool on McNamara Street in the Chomedey district of Laval on Monday night.
According to Laval police (SPL), a call came into 911 around 6:45 p.m. to report the incident.

Resuscitation manoeuvres were performed on the child before rushing her to the hospital.
Police say her life is no longer in danger, but her condition is still considered unstable and the impact on her health is still unknown.
According to SPL, the girl would have been swimming with a friend under adult supervision and had exited the pool when the adults went inside. However, the children went back in the pool without the adults knowing.
