Highway 13 from Laval to be closed for road work over weekend

There is no escaping construction season in and around Montreal.

On Tuesday the Ministry of Transportation announced there will be some highway closures over the coming weekend.

Starting at 11:59 p.m. on August 18 northbound Highway 13 from Laval will be closed. The highway will be reopened at 6 a.m. on August 19.

Between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. on Aug. 19, Highway 440 near Boul. Samson / Boul. Notre-Dame / Boul. Saint-Martin will be completely closed. After 11 p.m., one lane on the highway will be reopened. This will last until 6 a.m. on Aug. 20 when it will be completely closed until 5 a.m. on Aug. 21.

In addition, from 11 p.m. on Aug. 19 to 6 a.m. on Aug. 20, exit no. 15 (Highway 440 / Route 148 / Boul. Dagenais) and exit no. 17 (Boulevard Sainte-Rose) will be completely closed.

Route 344 (chemin de la Grande-Côte), including the Vachon bridge, as well as highway access ramps from boulevard Notre-Dame, Highway 440, and boulevard Sainte-Rose will be completely closed between 6 a.m. on Aug. 20 and 5 a.m. on Aug. 21.

Detour signs will be posted and drivers are being asked to find alternate routes.

The Ministry of Transportation notes that if the weather doesn’t hold up, the work may be postponed.
