Quebec City man stabbed to death, suspect arrested

QUÉBEC – A man in his 20s died in hospital from injuries sustained overnight Tuesday during a stabbing in Quebec City.

The Service de police de la Ville de Québec (SPVQ) reports that a 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder and by afternoon, Keven Labrie-Dubé was charged with the second-degree murder of 23-year-old Ali Bolduc Chouaïby.

According to the SPVQ, calls received shortly before 12:30 a.m. reported a man stabbed on chemin de la Canardière, near the intersection of boulevard Sainte-Anne.

On arrival, SPVQ patrol officers found the young man unconscious. He was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

In the meantime, police searches with the assistance of the canine squad located and arrested the suspect on rue de Grandville.
