Fundraiser for the children of the West Island mother allegedly killed by her husband

By The Canadian Press

MONTREAL – A fundraiser is being organized to support Tara O’Reilly, the mother of Robyn-Krystle O’Reilly, a 34-year-old West Island resident whose mutilated body was found last weekend in Wickham, near Drummondville. The victim was the mother of two young children.

The collection was launched on a crowdfunding platform by Katie Morris, a friend of the victim’s family, who says that Tara O’Reilly intends to look after her two grandchildren.

Robyn-Krystle O’Reilly’s husband and father of the children, Kevin Romagosa, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and indecent interference with human remains at the Drummondville courthouse. The 39-year-old remains in custody and will undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

In her appeal for help, Katie Morris explains that, in addition to mourning the loss of her only daughter, Tara O’Reilly will have to pay funeral expenses and care for her grandchildren indefinitely.

Katie Morris’ goal is to raise $100,000. As of Wednesday morning, close to $47,000 had been raised.
