A committee formed by McGill medical students is hosting its annual Night at the Stadium event this weekend.
The event by the Pediatric Cancer Fundraising Committee will take place at the Percival Molson Memorial Stadium and will raise funds for the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation.
A spokesperson for the event says, “Childhood cancer remains the leading cause of death in children, yet only 5 per cent of all cancer research dollars are dedicated to childhood cancer research.”
Adding, “The goal of Night at the Stadium is to bring together students, family, friends, and the Montreal community for a night of fun all while raising funds and awareness for this important cause.”
Those looking to attend the event will be treated to food from various Montreal restaurants, an outdoor movie (My Big Fat Greek Wedding), and more.
Doors open at 7 p.m., with the movie beginning at 8:30 p.m.
Tickets for the event can be purchased on Eventbrite.
