MONTREAL – Quebec’s Environment Minister Benoit Charette has announced the creation of a committee of experts to advise the government on adapting to climate change.

Pressed by municipalities demanding more funding, Quebec’s Environment Minister said Monday morning on social networks that he is mandating “a group of experts to advise the government on adapting to climate change”.

He added that “the advice that will be submitted will enable the ministry’s specialized team to define an action strategy that will enhance the elements already present in the PEV”, referring to the Plan for a Green Economy.
