Around 100 people in Saint-Michel mobilized Thursday evening to protest against the city’s decision to add more bike paths.
They say the paths are replacing parking spaces they desperately need.
The police were dispatched to the intersection of Saint-Michel Blvd. and Legendre Street, where residents were protesting and people were blocking traffic.

The protesters say the addition of bike paths in the area has deprived them of around 100 parking spaces, which they need as winter is fast approaching.
They say it’s been a challenge every day to park their car.
The borough mayor however insists there is no question of withdrawing the bike paths.
