Arson squad investigating after vehicles torched in Saint-Laurent

Montreal police are investigating a possible arson after three vehicles in the Saint-Laurent borough of Montreal were torched early Sunday morning.

Emergency services were called to Claude-Henri-Grignon Street at 2:45 a.m., where three vehicles were on fire.

Montreal firefighters put out the blaze. The Montreal police arson squad is investigating the cause.

The SPVM says it could be arson, as officers were told of at least one suspect fleeing the scene.

No injuries have been reported, and there was no other property damage.

The SPVM adds it will be looking to view security camera footage to try to identify a suspect.
