Montreal North mechanic shop fire, SPVM investigating possible arson

An auto garage in Montreal North was targeted by arsonists Monday night, according to police (SPVM).
Officers report no injuries or arrests in this case.
Authorities were called at around 11:30 p.m. by a passer-by who saw flames coming from a building near Industriel Blvd. and de Bruxelles Ave.
Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control, causing what they considered to be minor damage to the business.
Traces of accelerant and an incendiary object were found at the scene.
The investigation has been transferred to the SPVM’s arson squad.
