Man shot and injured in St-Leonard: Montreal police

A man was shot and seriously injured on Thursday in Montreal’s Saint-Leonard borough.

The 49-year-old man was walking on de Villieu Street, near Salvaye Street at around 7:45 p.m. when he was targeted by one or more gunmen police say.

He was hit in the upper body by more than one bullet.

The man was conscious when officers arrived on the scene and was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Montreal police say his life is no longer in danger.

No suspects have been arrested so far and investigation is ongoing.
