It was a slippery morning rush hour on Thursday as Montrealers got hit with the second snowfall of the season.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement warning, snow and freezing rain are in the forecast Thursday.
“Close to 5 centimetres of snow is expected over the southern part of the province this morning. Snow will change to light rain or drizzle during the day as temperatures rise. There is a risk of freezing precipitation during the transition. Snow and freezing precipitation could make roads very slippery on Thursday. As a result, road conditions could become difficult, particularly during the morning rush hour in urban areas,” the statement reads.
Temperatures should hover around the 0 degree mark for most of the day Thursday.
Friday we should see a high of 6 degrees, with cloudy skies and a 40 per cent chance of showers.
Clear weather is in the forecast for the weekend.
Saturday, a mix of sun and clouds, with a high of 2 degrees.
Sunday, sunny with a high of 2 degrees.
That sun so far is in the forecast for all of next week.
