It was a slippery morning rush hour on Thursday as Montrealers got hit with the second snowfall of the season.

Environment Canada issued a special weather statement warning, snow and freezing rain are in the forecast Thursday.

“Close to 5 centimetres of snow is expected over the southern part of the province this morning. Snow will change to light rain or drizzle during the day as temperatures rise.
