Cars set on fire in TMR, Montreal police investigates

Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating a possible arson in Town of Mount Royal (TMR) on Sunday night.

According to Véronique Dubuc, a SPVM spokesperson, police collaboration was requested by the Montreal fire department around 11:50 p.m.

Two vehicles had been seemingly targeted by arsonists in the driveway of a home on Graham Boulevard, near Inverness Avenue.

“According to information collected at the scene, incendiary devices were thrown by suspects at vehicles parked in the parking lot of the residence. They then fled in a vehicle,” said Dubuc.

Once extinguished, firefighters found that the damage to the vehicles was minor.

No suspects have been arrested.

A security perimeter was set up, while investigators from the Montreal police arson squad searched for clues to shed light on this event.
