Snow, sun and a meteor shower on the way for Montreal

Sunshine is in the forecast this week, but it’s off to a snowy start, and can end with views of a meteor shower.

The week, opening with a mainly sunny Monday, a high of 1°C.

“Increasing cloudiness this morning then 60 per cent chance of flurries this afternoon,” according to Environment Canada. “Wind chill -5°C overnight.”

Then mainly cloudy on Tuesday, with a high of 5°C.

Sunshine will peek through clouds on Wednesday. Temperatures set to rise to 7°C.

Thursday: sunshine!

The weather agency is forecasting a high of 9°C.

A chance of rain in the forecast for Friday — and a different type of “shower” too for the weekend: a meteor shower.

The Leonid meteor shower is set to peak on Nov. 18, offering Montrealers the chance to see shooting stars if skies stay clear.
