Montreal police look for suspect in Lachine sexual assault

Montreal police (SPVM) set up a command post in Lachine, as they look to find a suspect they say is linked to a recent sexual assault.

The mobile command post deployed from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, near the intersection of Duff Court and Esther-Blondin streets.

The SPVM would like to speak to potential witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the incident or to those who may have information that could lead to the identification of the suspect.

The alleged sexual assault occurred Oct. 24, between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., in the Duff Court Street area.

The suspect allegedly grabbed and touched his victim after committing gestures of a sexual nature.

Montreal police describe the suspect as a man in his early 20s, approximately 170 cm or 5’7” tall, with brown eyes and brown hair.

The SPVM say that the suspect was also wearing a black hooded sweater, black sweatpants, black shoes and a gold chain with small links.

They released a composite portrait to help identify the wanted suspect.
