Periods of drizzle over Montreal, warmer temperatures to disappear in time to ring in New Year

Periods of drizzle and fog patches for Montreal on Wednesday as temperatures remain warmer and steady near 4°C. The average for this time of year -5°C – now the city sits almost 10 degrees above the norm.

On Thursday, the periods of drizzle are set to end near noon — with Environment Canada forecasting the fog patches will dissipate in the morning. 

Temperatures will begin to drop on Friday, but still warmer and above zero with 2°C as the high.

Environment Canada forecasting rain or snow to end the week.

Come Saturday, cloudy with temperatures dropping to below zero at -1°C.

For New Years Eve, it seems like Mother Nature will gift Montrealers a mix of sun and clouds — but continuing with the colder temperatures, seeing a high of -4°C.

The mix of sunshine and clouds, set to continue on the first day of 2024, but even colder for the new year with a high of -7°C.
