Quebec Liberal Marwah Rizqy shares her fertility journey, confirms second pregnancy

By The Canadian Press

Quebec Liberal Party (PLQ) MNA Marwah Rizqy, whom many saw as an aspiring leader of her party, has finally realized one of her personal projects: she is pregnant with her second child.

Rizqy announced her pregnancy in an interview with “Le Journal de Québec,” and she confirmed it Wednesday morning on the X network.

She shared the article and wanted to give a message of hope to all women who, like her, may be experiencing difficulties conceiving a child.

“Your family project is more than legitimate,” she said. “The journey can be trying and I wish you all a chance to hold your little bundles of happiness soon.”

She also thanked her medical team.

Like with her first baby, Gabriel, who is 14 months old, Rizqy had to go to a fertility clinic for this second pregnancy.

Focusing on family, the politician will not be running for the Liberal leadership to succeed Dominique Anglade she told “Le Journal de Québec” during her interview. Adding however, that she is not closing the door to running for the leadership of her party when her children are older.
