7 people from Quebec arrested in Mississauga as part of high-end vehicle theft investigation

Five men and two teens from Quebec are facing a number of charges after travelling to Mississauga with the intent of stealing high-end vehicles.

Peel police say on January 3 they became aware of several individuals staying at a short-term rental in the area of Cawthra and Burnhamthorpe Roads and that their intention was to steal cars. The following day, members of the 12 Division Auto Unit officers, alongside the Tactical Unit, executed a search warrant and seven people were taken into custody.

Adlene Zebiche, a 19-year-old from Montreal, is facing a total of seven charges including forcible confinement, assault, extortion and possessing an automobile master key.

Ayman Fellouh, a 19-year-old from Quebec, is facing six charges including assault, possessing an automobile master key as well as two counts of failing to comply with bail.

Mamadi Kaba, a 19-year-old from Montreal, and Samir Nekmouche, a 20-year-old from Quebec are facing four charges including assault and possessing an automobile master key.

Izad Cheikh Ahmed, a 19-year-old from Montreal, is facing three charges including possessing an automobile master key.

Two 17-year-olds from Montreal are also facing a total of seven charges including possessing an automobile master key. Under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, their names cannot be released.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
