"There wasn't this larger sense of the minor hockey community and that's something we've tried to bring forth," said minor hockey association president, Matthew Cutler, as young players hit the ice for the third annual Hockey Day in Côte Saint-Luc.

Young hockey players hit the ice in Côte Saint-Luc this weekend for a charity tournament.

The third annual “Hockey Day in Côte Saint-Luc” drew kids of various ages to Samuel Moskovitch Arena.

On Saturday, Côte Saint-Luc hockey teams went up against U17 and U18 teams from other Montreal associations.

There were also special events like a community free skate, a Hall of Fame induction ceremony and a coaches’ game.

Sunday saw minor hockey action, including players from the Avalanche Kidz hockey program.

The two-day charity event raised funds for the Avalanche Kidz and Federation CJA’s “Israel Relief Fund.”
