By News Staff

Police found two bodies in an apartment in Laval-des-Rapides on Wednesday morning – that of a 67-year-old father and his 43-year-old son.

It was Montreal police who communicated with Laval police just before 10 a.m. “to do a welfare check on a resident living in an apartment building on Orly, in the Laval-des-Rapides sector,” said Laval police spokesperson Stéphanie Beshara.

Upon arrival, officer discovered the bodies.

The 43-year-old man is said to be Richard Germain and was previously in prison for the 2000 murder of his then 15-year-old girlfriend.

Reports suggest that it could be a possible murder, followed by a suicide.
