Outremont building under renovation partially collapses, no injuries

Part of a residential building under renovation collapsed Friday in Outremont.
Part of the two-story building collapsed around 9:30 a.m. on Van Horne Ave. – near Querbes, and several pieces of debris fell onto the sidewalk.

Luckily, no one was in or in front of the building when it happened.
By mid-morning, numerous firefighters were on the scene, while Van Horne was completely closed to traffic, between Querbes and de l’Épée Ave.
The cause of the collapse is unknown.
