Quebec director Denis Villeneuve and actor Timothée Chalamet will attend the Montreal premiere of Dune: Part Two.

It’ll be held at Scotiabank Cinema downtown on Feb. 28.

The Montreal screenings will be preceded by a red carpet and a special event for fans.

“I’m very excited to be sharing the sequel to Dune with you at a special event in Montreal,” said Denis Villeneuve, in a video shared Monday by Warner Bros Canada.

“I look forward to seeing you on February 28,” added actor Timothée Chalamet, speaking French. His father is originally from France and he holds French nationality through him.

For tickets, Warner Bros invited Internet users to “follow (their) networks for a chance to (join) them on February 28.” Contests will be organized on social networks.

In recent weeks, Villeneuve and his team have toured several cities around the world to present the new film in the fantasy series, starring Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh and Josh Brolin.

Dune: Part Two picks up where the first installment, released in 2021, left off.

Villeneuve and Jon Spaihts once again co-wrote the screenplay, based on Frank Herbert’s legendary novel.

Dune: Part Two opens on March 1.
