Flurries continue to fall in Montreal

Friday marks the biggest snowfall of February so far for Montrealers. Flurries started Thursday evening and continue into the morning hours.

Environment Canada says the snowy weather should stop soon, followed by cloudy skies with a high of minus 1 and a low of minus 10.

The weather agency forecasted between five and seven centimetres of accumulation, along with potential slippery roads and sidewalks.

Average temperatures for this time of year around minus 4.5 degrees.

Normal snowfall for February should be near 40 centimetres.

However, they warn there is a 30 per cent chance of the snow returning tonight, with more coming throughout the weekend.

Saturday could see a 40 per cent chance of snow, high of minus 4 with a low of minus 15.

Then periods of snow on Sunday with a high of minus 2 with a low of minus 12.

The dry weather will be returning Monday – with snow possible Thursday.
