Montreal restaurant fire

Two fires broke overnight in the Montreal area.

The first at Café Chez zaza on Décarie Blvd., near Édouard-Laurin Blvd., around 3 a.m.

Montreal firefighters were dispatched to the scene and quickly brought the flames under control before it spread to the entire two-story commercial building.

No injuries were reported, but damages to the Café were extensive.

About 20 minutes later, another fire broke out, this time in a home in Île-Bizard.

The residence is on Monk Road.

One person was helped by the Canadian Red Cross, but the extent of the damages to the property is unknown.
