Pedestrian killed, hit by STM bus in Saint-Laurent

A 65-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck by a city bus Monday night in Saint-Laurent.

According to Montreal police (SPVM), the incident happened around 9 p.m.

The STM bus was traveling on Décarie Blvd. and was turning onto Édouard-Laurin Blvd. when the man was hit – near Côte-Vertu Metro station.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 52-year-old driver of the bus was treated for shock. He had no physical injuries.

An investigation was opened by the SPVM to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
