Man shot in Montreal North, investigation ongoing

A man in his mid-thirties was shot Thursday evening in the Montreal North borough.

The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. at the corner of Pascal and Lapierre streets, said Véronique Dubuc, Montreal Police spokesperson (SPVM).

The man targeted was hit in the lower body by at least one bullet, by one or more shooters. The severity of his injuries was not yet known, added the SPVM.

Several shell casings were found on site when the police arrived.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
