“It's a celebration,” says Amber Yunus of Azzdah Events as members of Montreal’s Muslim community gather for a Ramadan festival in Dorval.

On Saturday, members of Montreal’s Muslim community gathered to attend this year’s Ramadan Fest.

The festival took place at the Hampton Inn Hotel in Dorval.

Festival-goers enjoyed food vendors, live music, hourly raffles, and a fashion show.

March 10th will mark the start of Ramadan for Muslims across the world and will last until April 9th. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim calendar and is observed as a holy month of fasting and reflection.
