Three people injured after dispute inside building in Saint-Laurent

By CityNews Staff

Three people were injured and about a hundred people were evacuated from a building following a fight overnight in the borough of Saint-Laurent.

The SPVM responded to a call of a dispute in an apartment on Crépeau Street around 4 a.m. on Sunday.

A fight between several people reportedly broke out inside the apartment.

The entire building had been evacuated when police arrived after a fire alarm was pulled.

The SPVM believe the fire alarm was pulled on purpose as there was no fire in the building.

The victims were age 19, 26 and 40.

One of the victims had wounds to his back from a sharp object, but all injuries are non-life threatening, according to the SPVM.

A 28-year-old suspect has been arrested.

The SPVM may also make other arrests in this case as the investigation is still ongoing.
