When officers arrived on the scene, they found the front door of a car dealership had signs of bullet holes.

Shell casings were also found on the ground.

Half an hour earlier, another business was targeted by gunfire – this time in Laval.

Police there were alerted around 1 a.m. about a triggered alarm at the Avanti Le Spa, on Saint-Martin Blvd. West, near McNamara Street, in the Pont-Viau district.

When police arrived on the scene, they found gunshot impacts on the window of the business.

There were no reported injuries and there have been no arrests.

Investigators are expected to visit the scene this morning to analyze and check possible surveillance cameras from the commercial building.

It is unknown whether the two events are connected.
