Canadiens head coach St-Louis away indefinitely ‘for family reasons’

Montreal Canadiens head coach Martin St-Louis will be away from the team indefinitely.

The Canadiens say St-Louis is taking a leave “for family reasons” but did not specify beyond that.

Assistant coach Trevor Letowski will take over head-coaching duties during his absence.

St-Louis is in his second full season behind the bench for Montreal.

The Habs are 25-30-11 – second to last in the Atlantic Division – during their rebuilding process
