Papineau-Leblanc bridge set to close Easter weekend

The Papineau-Leblanc bridge and a portion of Highway 19 will be completely closed to traffic from Thursday, March 28 to Monday, April 1.

Transport Quebec says the closure is required to replace stays on the structure.

The closures will take affect Thursday at 10 p.m. until Monday at 11:59 p.m.

There will be a complete closure between Highway 440 Jean-Noël-Lavoie) and Henri-Bourrassa Bldv.

However, access to Saint-Martin blvd. will be possible.

The roads will be closed going north between Henri-Bourassa and de la Concorde blvds.

To travel between Montreal and Laval, road users can take the Médéric-Martin bridge (A-15) or the Pie-IX bridge (R-125).

Detour roads will be marked with temporary signs. The Ministry advises road users who will have to travel in the area to allow extra time to reach their destination.

Work may be postponed due to adverse weather conditions or operational constraints. Before taking to the road, they recommend that you consult Québec 511.
