Two people arrested in connection with the death of a baby in Quebec City

The Service de police de la Ville de Québec (SPVQ) have arrested two people in connection with the death of a 14-month-old baby in a family daycare the Beauport area of Quebec City.
A 30-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were arrested and are expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
Police were called to a home on March 21 about a baby that was unconscious.
“The police and paramedics performed resuscitation manoeuvres and escorted the child to hospital. Unfortunately, the toddler died a few hours later,” said the SPVQ in a press release.
The police claim that child attended the family daycare where the incident took place.
