Incendiary object thrown into a landscaping business in Montreal

Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating after an incendiary object was thrown inside a landscaping business on Tuesday in the borough of Saint-Laurent.

The incident occurred around 3 a.m. on the premises of a landscaping business on Donahue Street, near the Montréal-Trudeau airport.

Police have reported minor damage, but no injuries.

The suspects allegedly smashed a shop window and threw the incendiary object inside, before fleeing the scene in two vehicles.

“The incendiary object self-extinguished and the damage was minor,” said Véronique Dubuc, spokesperson for the SPVM.

The investigation has been handed over to the Montreal police arson unit.
