Rain and sun to start the work week: See the flowers blooming across Montreal?

Last week, Environment Canada had predicted a sunny Monday — but Montrealers woke up to rain.

Despite the gloom — this seems like great conditions for the flowers blooming across the city, filling it with colour.

The federal agency forecasting the periods of drizzle to end this morning.

A high of 20 degrees and clear skies is then set for the start of the work week.

The mercury will stay stable Tuesday, with a high of 20 degrees as well.

Mainly sunny skies is forecasted — Montrealers hopefully waking up to the sunshine they expected this morning.

Come Wednesday, temperatures dropping to a high of 11 degrees — with, you guessed it, rain.

A mix of sun and clouds set for Thursday — a high of 17 degrees.

To start the weekend, 30 percent chance of showers is coming our way Friday — same is set for Saturday.

Despite the mix of weather though, flowers are springing up — a reminder that rain is always necessary.
