Man stabbed in Rosemont-La-Petite-Patrie

A 25-year-old man was stabbed in Montreal’s Rosemont-La-Petite-Patrie borough early Tuesday morning.

Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call at around 5 a.m. about the incident on Beaubien Street and 29th Ave.

When officers arrived on the scene, they located the victim in front of a depanneur. He was conscious, but had sustained an upper body injury.

He was taken to hospital and authorities say his life is not in danger.

SPVM believe that a conflict degenerated between the victim and the suspect.

The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

A security perimeter has been set up in the area as investigators continue to canvass the scene.

There have been no arrests so far.
