Turcot interchange set to close this weekend in Montreal

By News Staff

Route 136 will be closed in both directions, between the Turcot interchange and Montreal starting Friday.

The closure is needed to install the metal framework on the Saint-Laurent Blvd. overpass.

The ramp on the Turcot interchange coming from Highway 20 eastbound, to Route 136 eastbound, will be closed from Friday 11:59 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m.

There will be a complete closure of the Turcot interchange ramp leading from Highway 15 northbound to Route 136 eastbound, starting Friday 11 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m.

The entrance to Route 136 eastbound from des Tanneries Blvd. will also be closed on Friday as of 11 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.

The ramp leading from Highway 15 southbound to Route 136 eastbound will remain open, but drivers will be diverted to exit 2 (Atwater).

The work could be postponed, extended, or cancelled due to weather conditions or operational constraints.

Detour routes will be marked with temporary signage and congestion is to be expected. Quebec’s Transport Ministry recommends that road users travelling in the area allow extra time to get to their destination.

Drivers can also consult Québec 511 to properly plan their trip.
