Montreal businesses apologize after pouring water on homeless man

Two business owners have apologized after a video of a man pouring water on a homeless person sleeping outside in Montreal went viral.
The video was first uploaded to X on Saturday before it was removed in the afternoon. It was later re-uploaded by another user on Reddit, where viewers are still reacting.
The footage shows a woman bringing a water container to man, before he dumps it on the homeless person sleeping.
In the video, the man asked in French if the “water was hot” and the woman replied that she “thought about it.”
The homeless man then woke up and sprung to his feet.
“You have to wake up, you can’t sleep here,” said the man, who poured water while laughing.
The two businesses involved are the MTL Gaming Centre and La Toxica restaurant.
CityNews Montreal has reached out to the two businesses, but has not heard back for comment.
