A 27-year-old man died in a two-vehicle collision early Sunday morning in the Plateau-Mont-Royal, according to police.

The incident happened shortly before 4:30 a.m. on Parc Avenue near Duluth Avenue W.

Police believe a vehicle travelling on Parc collided with a car in front of it.

“The vehicle subsequently hit a lamppost before ending its journey backwards,” said SPVM spokesperson Sabrina Gauthier.

The 27-year-old man in the first vehicle died from his injuries. The man who was in the car that was hit was not injured, police say.

Parc Avenue was closed to traffic in both directions Sunday morning between des Pins and Mont-Royal W.
