According to the SPVM, at least one suspect was seen at the start of the fire before fleeing.

The file has been transferred to the Montreal police arson squad.

There were no reported injuries — and while the SUV suffered some damage, it was not declared a total loss.

The vehicle was towed for an assessment, and a security perimeter has been set up to allow investigators to analyze the scene.
