Multiple road closures set to start in June for Highways 25 and 440

By News Staff

Highway 25 and 440 will be closed to traffic overnight starting June 2 for road resurfacing correction work – until fall.

The Transport Ministry said this closure is required to improve the safety and driving comfort on the highways.

Highway 25 from Mascouche to Laval, between exit 34 (St Henri/ L’Épiphanie) and exit 17 will be partially closed overnight starting Sunday, until fall 2024.

There will be a complete overnight nighttime closure of Highway 440 (Jean-Noël-Lavoie), between Montée Saint-François and Route 335 (des Laurentides Blvd.) starting June 2 – also until the fall.

Detours will be available through the service road.

The work could be postponed, extended, or cancelled due to weather conditions or operational constraints.

Detour routes will be marked with temporary signage and congestion is to be expected. Quebec’s Transport Ministry recommends that road users travelling in the area allow extra time to get to their destination.

Drivers can also consult Québec 511, to properly plan their trip.
