Relief from intense heat for Montrealers

There is relief for some residents of Eastern Canada as the heat wave breaks. Ontario, Quebec and parts of Atlantic Canada have been dealing with stifling heat, with Thursday bringing temperatures of around 41 degrees Celsius with the humidex.

However, Environment Canada says less hot and humid conditions are expected to slowly move into the area this weekend.

A mix of sun and clouds on Friday for Montreal and a high of 25, feeling like 29 with the humidex.

The wet weather moving in for the St-Jean weekend, but still hot and sticky.

Cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of rain on Saturday afternoon. High of 25, but feeling more like 30.

Temperatures dropping on Sunday with more rain and a high of 23 degrees.

Showers and 22 degrees on Monday.

Full sunshine set to return for Tuesday and a high of 28, but more wet weather on the way for Wednesday and 26 degrees.

Drier come Thursday with sun and clouds. High of 24.
