4 injured in crash on Champlain Bridge: police

Quebec provincial police say four people were injured, including one seriously, in a collision on the Samuel-De-Champlain bridge, on the Brossard side, Saturday morning.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) says emergency services arrived on the bridge around 6:45 a.m. after the two-vehicle collision.

Police indicate the driver of the first vehicle, a man in his 20s, sustained minor injuries while his passenger suffered serious, life-threatening injuries.

The occupants of the second vehicle, two women in their 50s, sustained minor injuries.

Traffic was restricted on the Champlain Bridge until around 11:15 a.m. as police investigated.
