River shuttle collision leaves 9 injured on Montreal’s South Shore

Nine people are injured after a river shuttle collided with another boat on the St-Lawrence River near Charron Island on Thursday.

According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the boat had 40 people on board when the incident happened around 3:30 p.m.

The injured passengers were sent to hospital with minor injuries and their lives are not in danger.

The other boat involved was located and police say one individual will be met by investigators.

The investigation is ongoing.
