Road closures for Canada Day and Moving Day in Montreal

There will be several road closures this long weekend in Montreal due to construction and various Canada Day activities, according to the Transport Ministry.

July 1 is also moving day, so drivers should be cautious and aware of multiple trucks, furniture in the street, etc.

Highway 10 – Bonaventure

There will be a complete closure of the Bonaventure Highway (A-10) east for Exit 5 (Île-des-Soeurs) from Monday at 10 p.m. until Tuesday at 5 a.m.

Also, one of two lanes will be closed in both directions on the Clément bridge until July 8.

Highway 30 (de l’Acier) – Beauharnois and Saint-Constant sectors

There will be a partial closure on Highway 30 at Beauharnois (the Madeleine-Parent Bridge area) and at Saint-Constant (A-209). One lane will be available in each direction from Friday at 8 p.m. to Tuesday at 6 a.m.

Rose-de-Lima Street

In the Southwest area, there will be a long-term closure (since June 25) between Saint-Antoine and Saint-Jacques Street and the Rose-de-Lima / Saint-Jacques intersection.

Bridge Street

One lane will be available in each direction on Bridge Street, between Mill and des Irlandais streets until October 2024.

REM (Réseau express métropolitain)

On June 29, June 30, and July 1, the REM service will be unavailable due to a system update between 5:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Buses will provide service during this period.
