A 42-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly defrauding several homeowners in the South Shore by offering driveway paving services and other home repairs.

Longueuil police (SPAL) allege that Patrice Lamer would go to people’s homes to obtain bids on behalf of Gestion Multi Pro.

The suspect would ask for deposits ranging from $450 to $3,700 in cash.

According to the SPAL, the work was only partially completed or never done at all.

Officers were contacted by many victims in Brossard, as well as one in the Saint-Hubert area in Longueuil.

Throughout the investigation, more victims came forward, resulting in over 20 criminal complaints filed in 2024, in five different cities.

Lamer’s fraud amounts exceeded $40,000, and he offered other services such as painting, balcony repairs and more.

The suspect was arrested after warrants were issued by the SPAL and Roussillon police.

Police are asking any potential victims to call 450-463-7211.
