Six families were forced to evacuate from their homes on Wednesday night after a fire broke out in their condo building in Saint-Hubert, on Montreal’s South Shore.

Emergency services received a 911 call around 7:15 p.m. about the blaze on Jacques-Marcil Blvd.

Four out of 18 unites were destroyed, and two other condos suffered severe water damage.
