Montreal Grammy winner, Jennifer Gasoi, went from hacked to back on Facebook.

“I feel incredible,” she said. “I can’t believe this happened.”

CityNews shared Gasoi’s story with you on Thursday, where the Grammy-winning musician was locked out of her Facebook account after clicking on a link that looked legitimate on the platform.

Her account, important for her career –- where she connects with over 13,000 fans and where she documented her Grammy journey.

After our interview with Gasoi, CityNews contacted Meta, Facebook’s parent company, in an attempt to get answers about her profile and they responded saying they would be happy to investigate. We sent them all the details, and on Friday, we got her account back.

“It’s amazing,” she explained. “I feel like I’m in a wave, like this incredible wave and I felt the momentum.”

“And strangely it kind of felt a little bit like I felt at the Grammys.”

Gasoi thanks family, friends, her fans and the media for supporting and sharing her song.

In just minutes on Friday, she wrote a follow-up tune, thanking the platform for “turning her back on.”
